A Taxonomic Study of the Marine Hydroids in Korea

Abstract
|

|
The examined materials was collected by the authors from the eight localities (Seogwipo, Beom-do, Mun-do, Sup-do, Seongsanpo, Hanrim, Sasu-do and Hoenggan-do) in Jeju-do and Chujakundo during the period from 1969 to 1971.
The results of the identification was classified into 6 families, 20 genera and 26 species. Among them six species was found to be new to the Korean fauna: Hebella scandens var. contorta, Antennellopsis integerrima, Monostaechas quadridens, Diphasia, palmata, Sertularella lagenoides and Sertularia hattorii.
Up to the present time, the marine hydroids of Jeju-do and Chuja-kundo show 6 families, 20 genera and 26 species.
